Our big little hotel

„Recort“ – that’s Ladin and means “reminiscence”. And it is in memory of the endeavours of a beloved person that a new hotel arises. Featuring some twenty rooms, a restaurant, a bar and a cosy, welcoming spa area, it offers everything that Gottfried - a trailblazer for tourism in Alta Badia - would have loved. A pioneer indeed, as he established the cable car company Impianti Colfosco many years ago while dreaming of this quaint little hotel. We want to dedicate this hotel to him, knowing that future is only feasible in close connection with our history.

Hospitality that reinvents itself

Let’s take a journey through time, back to the late 1950s. Back into a very different world to the one we know today. Gottfried, who became an orphan at an early age, grew into a man who was always on the move. A man, who never allowed himself to be discouraged by poverty and hard work but continued to pursue his dreams until they became tangible. As solid as the rocks of the Dolomites. And as a real trailblazer, he created what is now one of the driving forces of tourism in Alta Badia: the cable car company Impianti Colfosco, which also contributed to the birth of the Sellaronda legend. 

Commitment, perseverance and imagination: attributes that we also seek from all those interested in contributing to the realisation and development of this new hotel. A story that is yet to be written. Are you keen to shape it with us?
